De normaalsporige stoomlokomotieven van de niet-openbare spoorwegen. This is a second enlarged version of the book originally published in1994 on standard gauge industrial locomotives in the Netherlands. It is divided into two distinct sections. In the first, the author tells the history of each of the 464 locomotives with information on the industries which used them. The second section is an enlarged locomotive list giving all users, boiler register numbers and relevant dates for each locomotive. The total number of locomotives is now 464 (14 up from the first edition), divided between 61 builders.
This is an extremely well researched and produced book and must be the definitive work on the subject. There is a companion volume dealing with narrow gauge industrial steam locomotives in the Netherlands, but unfortunately out of print at the moment.
