The Warsaw-Vienna Railway was the first line built in the Kingdom of Poland, at that time part of the Russian Empire. It extended 307 km from Warsaw to the southwest to the border with Austria, standard gauge. Warsawâ- Kalisz was built later, to broad gauge.
This well produced book describes the locomotives and rolling stock, with numerous line drawings, photographs and lists. Two pages of summary each in English and German outlines the chequered history of the railway.
