Persontåget på meterspåriga järnvägen Ponferrada–Villablino i provinsen León i nordvästra Spanien drogs av ånglok tills det upphörde 1980, men ånglok fortsatte att dra koltåg till kraftverket i Cubillos ända till 1989. Många lok är bevarade, bland annat på järnvägsmuseet i Ponferrada. PV 13 som Frank fotograferade med ett koltåg i Villablino 1967 var ett av Engerth-loken, en ovanlig form av ledat lok. Bert Nordenlund och James Waite blev först att identifiera platsen.
The daily mail train on metre gauge Ponferrada–Villablino railway in León province in northwest Spain was steam hauled until withdrawn in 1980, but steam locomotives continued to haul coals from the mines to the Cubillos power station until 1989. PV 13, which Frank caught at Villablino in 1967, was one of the Engerth locomotives, an unusual variety of articulated locomotive first introduced on the Semmering railway in 1853. The tender is articulated with the main frame, some of its weight carried by the driving wheels. Jean-Pierre Helix and Frank Rindfleisch were among those identifying the location.
