The 5th volume of Historia de la tracción vapor en España deals with the 32 railways other than the four major companies which made up the RENFE. They were of different character: interprovincial, local, state and industrial. One railway which stands out was the Central de Aragon, which had some of the most modern steam locomotives in Europe, notably the two classes of Garratts.
The book describes the history of each of the railways, with maps and track plans, and their locomotives, including lists. 263 pages A4, numerous photographs, hb.
