Schmalspurig durch Bulgarien

Paul Engelbert

Stenvalls 2002. Under första världskriget började ett stort 600 mm-nät byggas i Bulgarien ned användning av tysk Feldbahnmateriel. 112 sidor, 151 foton (24 i färg), kartor och ritningar.

One scenic 760 mm gauge line with modern equipment is still in operation in Bulgaria. It may be less well known that an extensive 600 mm gauge system using German field railway equipment was built during WWI and the years following. Not until the 1960s were the last sections widened or abandoned.

The interesting history of construction, operation and equipment of the railways has been researched by the Dutch traffic planner and narrow gauge enthusiast Paul Engelbert. All steam as well as diesel locomotives are listed in detail. 112 pages 165x244mm, hb, 151 photos (24 in colour), maps and line drawings.
