It was in 1942 that the TALGO concept was launched, "Tren Articulado Ligero Goicoechea-Oriol" after the engineer and the entrepreneur behind the project. In the intervening 75 years, several technical generations have had a profound impact on rail services in Spain, and the concept has been exported to several countries.
This is an excellent technical and operational history with parallel text in Spanish and English, illustrated with a wealth of colour photographs. The captions are very brief and not up to the standard of the text. 255 pages 29x24 cm, hb.
